We chose our real estate agent after 12 months of looking for property in the area to buy and therefore getting to know dozens of local agents. Daniel stood out for several reasons. He was genuine, honest and real. He was always friendly and pleasant to talk to and not at all pushy or "real estate agenty." This is unusual in an agent, but immensely valuable as it builds trust with buyers which is crucial for getting a good price during the negotiation phase. When you like someone, you are more likely to trust them. A lot of agents would do well to learn this lesson.
In working with him, he really took the time the understand us and our needs, which were more than just getting a good price. We were not just a sale to him. He managed the whole process as if it were his own home. He never pushed us into anything we weren't comfortable to do, such as sell for less when there were only people trying to come in with low offers during the pandemic. This was despite the fact that if we didn't get a good price, we'd revert to renting it out, which would have meant no sale for Daniel. But he didn't push us to accept a low offer, even when we were tempted. He assured us that the house was worth more and that we could do better. And we did.
He worked really, really hard to get us a sale in the middle of the strictest lockdown period. He chased down leads and got people through our house who wouldn't have come through based on the online adds. He was clever and strategic in presenting our house as desirable, without being overly pushy as so many agents are.

In June 2015, after researching the property market for about 7 months, I made the difficult decision to sell my dream home. Due to health reasons, I could not continue to maintain my large split level home with an idyllic location, any longer. During those 7 months, I attended many opens, auctions & talked to many agents.
